Notice to Candidates
Failure to comply with any of the rules detailed below may be grounds for DISQUALIFICATION.
It is very important to read these instructions carefully and in case of any doubt please contact our examination centre.
For onsite exams
CANDIDATES MUST
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam.
Present a valid, original and valid photo ID (e.g. passport or ID card) for each of the tests you take.
Have only the necessary test materials on their desk: a pen or pencil, the password sheet and their ID card.
Pay attention to the proctor/ invigilator and follow their instructions at all times.
Read carefully and follow all written instructions.
Raise their hand if:
- Questions are incomplete or look wrong on the computer screen.
- The computer on which they are taking the test is not working normally.
- The headphones do not work or they cannot hear the Listening test.
- They are not sure about how to proceed (candidates should not ask questions on test contents; they will not be answered).
Inform the invigilator if they are not feeling well.
Wait for the invigilator to collect their login paper before leaving their seat.
CANDIDATES MAY NOT
Bring any electronic devices (mobile phones, tape recorders, smart watches, music/video players, cameras, etc.) into the examination room or access them during breaks between tests.
Have on their desk or themselves any material that may be of assistance in the exam.
Wear a wristwatch in the examination room (you will be informed whether to leave it on the table or outside the examination room).
Copy or exchange information with other candidates.
Talk, signal or disturb other candidates during the examination.
Use dictionaries
Smoke, eat or drink in the examination room, with the exception of water in clear plastic or glass bottles.
Leave the examination room for any reason without prior authorisation from test centre staff (invigilators or proctors).
Take any unauthorised materials such as answer sheets, passwords or any scratch paper used in the exam room.
Make noise near the exam room.
For online exams
Failure to comply with any of the rules below may result in DISQUALIFICATION and the candidate will not receive their results.
CANDIDATES MUST
Make sure their computer meets all technical requirements.

Log on to the exam platform at the time specified on their password sheet.
Present to the webcam the same ID provided when registering for the exam.
Have their desk clear of all items except those needed for the test: pen or pencil, and the password sheet.
Carefully read and follow all the instructions written on the computer screen.
Report any problems with the online test platform to the Linguaskill Agent.
Candidates should note it is their responsibility to ensure the computer they are using to take the exam is working properly, that it has an internet connection and that it meets all the technical requirements.
CANDIDATES MAY NOT
Keep any type of electronic device (mobile phones, tape recorders, smart watches, music/video players, cameras, etc.) in the examination room, or access them during breaks between tests.
Use any helping software or app.
Have any helpful material on their desk.
Go off camera at any point during the exam.
Copy or exchange information with another person.
Talk, signal or make suspicious movements during the exam.
Use dictionaries.
Smoke, eat or drink in the examination room, except for water in clear plastic or glass bottles.
Leave the examination room for any reason. Remember that you are not allowed to leave the room once the test has started, not even to go to the toilet.
